MWC Africa

The Africa Mobile World Congress (MWC Africa) is the most influential telecommunications exhibition in Africa. The GSMA holds the MWC Mobile Communications Conference and the Mobile360 series of regional conferences annually in Spain, China, the United States, and other countries and regions.

Since hosting the Mobile 360 regional conference in Africa in 2014, the GSM Association has successfully doubled the scale of the event, responding to industry calls and leveraging its influence to host the world's leading technology event - MWC Africa - on the fastest-growing continent. Since 2022, MWC Africa has actively supported the transformation ambitions of the African mobile technology industry, establishing new partnerships with local public and private sectors, and seeking innovative solutions.

The Africa Mobile World Congress (MWC Africa) covers emerging themes in the mobile technology industry and aims to expand the scope of the Leader Forum (African Ministerial Program) to create a feast for the entire industry. MWC Africa focuses on five major areas: 5G, digital finance, healthy development of the Internet, startup launch platform, and building Digital Africa.

The Africa Mobile World Congress (MWC Africa) attracts nearly 1,000 leading companies from 75 countries and regions, with over 40% of executives and decision-makers in the business sector. More than 200 global industry experts delivered speeches totaling over 60 hours across the five major areas. International companies such as Airtel, MasterCard, Meta, MTN, Orange, Qualcomm, Vodacom, CloudQ, and ZTE participated in the exhibition.

Rwanda's economy is recovering, the cityscape is neat, the people are hospitable, the road network is extensive, social security is good, it is one of the safest countries in Africa and the fifth safest country in the world. In 2019, Rwanda's economic growth rate was second in the world and was rated the second best country in Africa for conducting business. Rwanda has a 95% 4G coverage rate, ranking first in East Africa's IT industry development, fifth in all of Africa, and is considered the preferred country for innovative enterprises and startups to develop, test, and launch new products.
